ICSS 2015, The International Cyber Security Strategy Congress: “Cyber Security and Forensic Readiness” is organised by the Belgian Cybercrime Centre of Excellence for Training, Research and Education – KU Leuven on 4-5 February 2015 in Leuven, Belgium. A pre-conference B-CCENTRE workshop will be held on 3 February to present the work B-CCENTRE has done over the past 4 years.
ICSS2015 will present the latest developments and thoughts in the field of cybercrime and cybersecurity and will be a unique gathering of cybercrime experts from all over the world. The objective of the conference is to present the challenges, visions and strategies, state-of-the art and perspectives in the area of information and network security, cyber risk management as well as cyber forensics to a wider audience from public and private sector as well as academia. Experts from the police, Cybercrime Centres of Excellence and magistrates from every European member state have been invited with the support of the EU. Many more professionals dealing with the topic are expected in Leuven, which will account for a fruitful exchange of knowledge and expertise.
There will be several high level key note speakers, including Bruce Schneier, and for part of the Congress, sessions are run in two tracks. The first track is mainly addressing industry, academic and policy participants. Topics range from national and international governmental strategies, company and organisational strategies on cyber security readiness, as well as cyber forensic readiness. The goal is to discuss and inform on practical organisational methods to secure an organisation and deal efficiently with cybercrime.
Sessions will be organised in a second track for experts dealing with combatting Cybercrime. They will be updated on the recent evolutions and available tools for digital forensics, online investigations and cyber intelligence and will be presented with real live cases.
