In the framework of the renewal of European Union Agency for Information Network and Security (ENISA) mandate, the eSRT organised the Agency’s Annual High Level Event at the Representation of the State of Hessen to the EU.

During this round table discussion that was held on 13 November at the Representation of the State of Hessen, the key topics were EU know-how & expertise and European research activities.

In the context of the allegations against NSA surveillance and few days after the revelations about the spying programmes targeting European leaders, this informal meeting between EU and US officials was the first bilateral discussion held by the European Cyber Security Round Table (eSRT) in the framework of its International Cyber Security Dialogue series.

On 25 October, the eSRT organised a one-day workshop in Vilnius in cooperation with the Lithuanian Presidency, ENISA, Digital Europe, InfoBalt and Microsoft.

This discussion was led by Ms. Melissa Hathaway who managed the development of the Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative (CNCI) of the US Government as Cyber Coordination Executive and Director of the Joint Interagency Cyber Task force in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

The European Security Round Table has successfully launched its cyber security platform, the eSRT, with a round table on “The IT security landscape in the context of the NIS directive”.

The European Security Round Table (eSRT) organised the Global Cyber Security Conference with the support of the Estonian Ministry of Defence and the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, on 30 January 2013.
